At the Fespa Global Print Expo, held in Berlin from May 6 to 9, 2025, Swedish manufacturer Plockmatic Group is launching a new automated roll-fed label cutting and finishing solution: the ColorCut LCF500 Pro.
Developed by Intec Printing Solutions, a division of Plockmatic, the LCF500 Pro combines several finishing steps: contour cutting in various shapes (kiss-cut and half-perforation), laminating, slitting and slitting for repackaging into finished rolls. The entire system is controlled via an integrated 20" console, with on-board control keyboard.
Format versatility of the ColorCut LCF500 Pro
The ColorCut LCF500 Pro accepts reels up to 320 mm wide, mounted on 76 mm mandrels and up to 300 mm outside diameter. Cutting control is based on a dual register strategy consisting of a four-register system for complex applications and a two-register-per-frame method for standard productions.
This machine also features patented coil tracking technology: a sensor dynamically adjusts the motor chuck axis to compensate for trajectory deviations, even over long sequences.
Automated file management via QR codes
The ColorCut QR Code system automatically starts each job by scanning a code printed at the beginning of the sequence. This feature should prove useful in production environments with multiple runs on the same reel, limiting manual intervention and configuration errors.
The cutting head delivers a maximum pressure of 750 grams-force, adjustable in 3 g steps, enabling processing of a wide range of substrates, from fine paper for wines and spirits to more rigid synthetic films, such as those used in chemical or logistics applications.
Cutting speeds of up to 10.5 meters per minute
The system reaches a cutting speed of 10.5 linear meters per minute, variable according to the complexity of the shapes.
A six-blade slitter splits the die-cut labels into seven separate rolls. This option is particularly aimed at converters and printers who wish to reintegrate these reels into automatic packaging or labeling lines.
