Launched last year by the association 4 Tomorrow in order to raise awareness about the dangers of unverified and abusive communication, the "Fake News Vision 2020" contest was a great success. The selection was tough: out of more than 6,000 posters, only 100 were selected.

A universal design

The artists, from all over the world, who contributed to this project expressed themselves through highly eloquent visuals, without any comment. The techniques used are multiple: flat design, freehand drawing, typographic stretching, photography, etc.

« My favorite poster is by the Iranian artist, Erfan Meftahpour. (the poster depicts the New York Times logo with a color change in the horizontal bar of the "T") The logo has not been changed or distorted at all, however, we recognize the profile of the former president of the United States. Through the eyes of the artist, we understand that such a strong politician should not be at the head of such a powerful media. The message is, in my opinion, very well found. "says Hervé Matine, director and founder of 4 Tomorrow.

A travelling biennial

The Paris exhibition, held in the 14th and 18th arrondissements, will be part of "France Design Week", a series of national design events, from September 7 to 28, 2021. Simultaneously, it will also take place in Italy. In all, some fifty exhibitions are planned throughout Europe and in several French cities. A catalog containing the 100 posters will be available in September.

« When you look at the posters one by one, you may not understand what the artist meant. But then you realize that the answer is on the poster next to it. Complementary, the 100 posters help to grasp each of the messages. "explains Hervé Matine, in the middle of preparing the exhibition.

At the end of the event, the posters will be available for download for life on the Poster For Tomorrow website, for use by the media for publications with a social cause or to serve NGOs.
