Big first! Avery Dennison is launching a new range of vegan labels on the market. This range has received the approval of Eve Vegan, an independent organization created by Vegan France, which guarantees that no component of animal origin is present in this range and that no animal testing or GMOs of animal origin have been used.
Suitable for the beauty, wine & spirits and food & beverage industries, this range currently consists of six paper faces, three adhesives and two liners. All these references can be combined according to the needs of the customers.
Each product offers, according to its manufacturer, a level of performance similar to non-vegan solutions. New front ends will soon be added to the range.
"Veganism goes beyond food", says Luuk Zonneveld, product manager for high-end label application solutions, labels and graphics at Avery Dennison. "It's a philosophy and a lifestyle focused on preventing animal exploitation for food, clothing and anything else you can think of. Naturally, that extends to the world of packaging."
He adds: "We are very proud to have received the Eve Vegan certification and consider it a powerful symbol that lets brands and their customers know we take our commitments seriously."
