Final pillar for the Alizay bridge on the VPK Paper Normandie site

The installation of the last pillar of the future Alizay bridge in Normandy marks a major step forward for this infrastructure project launched by paper manufacturer VPK Group. With a length of 170 meters and a width of 10 meters, the structure was designed using 100% recycled materials. This direct link between Les Damps and Alizay is designed to ease traffic congestion while strengthening local logistics at the production site for recycled paper for corrugated board and packaging. Commissioning is scheduled for this summer.

Toyo Ink launches a new range of web offset inks for alternative papers

In response to the diversification of papers used in web offset printing, Toyo Ink of the Artience group has launched two new references: Web Dry Rheo X SW (Super Wide) and Web Dry Leo X LP (Long Printing). These web offset inks have been specifically formulated to limit printing defects linked to linting or paper dust deposits on rollers and blankets.
The Rheo X SW set stands out for its wide compatibility, from coated paper to substitute papers," explains Toyo Ink, "while Leo X LP, with its even lower viscosity, is aimed at long runs on recycled paper.

Digital printing film for complex applications from Avery Dennison...

US manufacturer of self-adhesive films and materials for labeling, signage and packaging Avery Dennison now offers MPI 1104 EA PW, the latest addition to its MPI 1100 series for covering applications. This cast polymer film is designed for complex 3D surfaces. It features a repositionable adhesive with micro-channels for easy application and improved glide.

The product also includes an optical blocking layer to prevent transparency effects when applied to dark backgrounds.
This development is aimed in particular at the vehicle personalization and large-format signage markets.

... and a covering training center in Vendée

At the end of March, Avery Dennison inaugurated its largest European training center dedicated to vehicle wrapping, at the premises of Buzz Graphic, a Vendée-based company specializing in adhesives, large-format printing and vehicle personalization.

Located in Coëx, the AD Wrap Center is designed to train professionals in advanced adhesive film application techniques. The site is designed to support applicators in the acquisition of precise technical gestures, on a variety of substrates and configurations.

HPC-Adlis transforms a Heidelberg press for specific die-cuts

HPC-Adlis, located in Templemars (Nord, France), has modified one of its Heidelberg offset presses for die-cutting operations. Initially designed for printing, the machine now accommodates die-cutting forms. This technical evolution enables the printer to respond to specific requests, such as those of its customer Thera Concept, who wanted shaped bicycle plates.

Posson Packaging continues to modernize its industrial site

Following the announcement of a plant extension and ongoing work on the offices, Posson Packaging is launching a comprehensive transformation program for its site at Louailles, in the Sarthe region of France.
The company specializing in solid and corrugated board packaging has completely redesigned the floor markings in its workshops. Pedestrian aisles have been marked out in green to clearly distinguish traffic flows, while lanes dedicated to forklift trucks benefit from specific signage. The posts have also been repainted to improve the legibility of the spaces. The aim is to optimize safety and the organization of internal traffic flows.

Tageos opens RFID R&D center in Munich

Tageos, a specialist in RFID inlays and labels and subsidiary of Italian paper manufacturer Fedrigoni, has inaugurated a 700 m2 research and development center in Munich, Germany.

This site, named Innovation Center of Excellence (ICoE), is dedicated to the design of RFID, HF, NFC and Bluetooth Low Energy solutions, as well as to the integration of components such as sensors and flexible batteries. The center also offers engineering and prototyping support prior to industrialization in the Group's production units in France, the USA and China. The ICoE completes Fedrigoni's technological ecosystem, based in Verona and focused on the development of smart labels for the luxury, pharmaceutical and food sectors.

MGI joins the Coq Vert community

Digital printing and finishing machine manufacturer MGI Digital Technology officially joins the Communauté du Coq Vert. Created by Bpifrance in partnership with l'eurostmAdeme and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Communauté du Coq Vert fédère companies committed to concrete environmental transformation.

By joining this network, MGI takes part in exchanges on best practices and sustainable eurostminnovation. This approach is in line with the French groupâ??s commitment to developing technological solutions that combine industrial performance with respect for the environment.

GlobalVision and Hybrid Software automate quality control in Clouflow workflows

Automated proofreading software publisher GlobalVision and Hybrid Software, specialists in workflow solutions for label and packaging printing, announce the integration of VerifyAPI technology into the Cloudflow system.

This module automatically performs checks such as barcode, Braille and spelling inspection, as well as graphic and textual comparison. Parameters can be configured in Cloudflow to guarantee uniformity of checks. Hosted in the cloud, the solution adapts to different production volumes and enables errors to be detected earlier in the process, thus reducing time-to-production.

100% recycled coated paper from Lectra

Lecta offers GardaRecycled Print, a two-sided coated paper manufactured at its Cartiere del Garda mill in Italy, made entirely from recycled fibers and FSC Recycled Credit certified. Available from 115 to 170 g/m², in reels and sheets, it is designed for editorial and commercial applications on offset, flexo or high-speed inkjet presses
