X-Rite appoints new president

Chris Brooks, who has worked for various industries, will lead the innovation strategy for X-Rite's digital color platforms, cloud services and connected solutions.

X-Rite, owner of Pantone, announces the appointment of Chris Brooks as president of the U.S. group specializing in color-related technologies. He replaces Ondrej Kruk, who remained four years in this position.

Chris Brooks will lead the innovation strategy for digital color platforms, cloud services and connected solutions. "Digital technologies are transforming the way physical products are designed and manufactured, enabling more creativity, customization and opportunity." said the new president of the group of 800 employees. "I'm thrilled to join the company that has been at the forefront of this transformation that is paving the way for digital color communications and measurement solutions designed to bring color to life from inspiration to final production."

With an MBA from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chris Brooks has diverse experience in industrial manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food service.

He most recently served as vice president and general manager of the Engineered Medical Components business of the U.S. electronics and electro-mechanical devices manufacturing group Ametek.
Previously, Chris Brooks held a variety of management positions with increasing responsibility in operations, engineering, marketing and business development at various large U.S. companies, Illinois Tool Works, Nordson Corporation, Coca-Cola Company, FMC Corporation and Merck & Co.
X-Rite's new president also serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including the American Heart Association and Clay-Nelson Scholarship.
