Press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer has signed a collaboration agreement with printing ink manufacturer Hubergroup. The aim of this collaboration is to perfectly coordinate the products of the two German manufacturers, conventional printing inks and Rapida sheet-fed offset presses.
This agreement was preceded by testing and optimization of the manufacturer's inks specifically for Rapida printing machines. Koenig & Bauer "therefore exclusively recommends the use of these proven printing inks on Rapida sheetfed offset presses worldwide".
And from now on, printers who equip themselves with a new Rapida offset press will receive a starter kit with printing inks from the manufacturer with sales of 813 million euros. Printers will then be able to obtain these consumables via the Koenig & Bauer and Hubergroup sales systems.
The agreement also includes the development of a joint strategy for sustainability, the development and marketing of printing inks for primary food packaging, the development of customized concepts for brands, and other strategic and technological development projects.
In addition to these development partnerships, the two German groups will work closely together at international trade shows, customer events and product training courses.
