At Labelexpo, Swiss manufacturer Bobst unveiled its new UV inkjet label press, the Digital Expert 340. With a print width of 340 mm, this label press is the smallest of the Digital Master series.
The Digital Expert 340 comes as standard in CMYK plus white, with a print quality of 1200 x 1200 DPI. It produces digital white with 70% opacity.
A modular, upgradeable machine, this UV inkjet press prints at 65 m/min and, with option, reaches 100 m/min. A flexo unit before the digital printing unit can also be added, as well as two additional ink channels dedicated to orange and violet.
With a winding and unwinding diameter of up to 1000 mm, the Digital Expert 340 inkjet press is compatible with PP, PE, BOPP, PVC, PET, aluminum, paper, lightweight folding carton, coated and uncoated thermal paper substrates.
The commercial launch of this Digital Expert 340 is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024 in France.
