Screen's Truepress JET 560HDX reel-fed press for printing on offset-coated papers without pre-treatment, offers a 560 mm web width.

Screen is set to launch a new web-fed inkjet press, the Truepress Jet 560HDX, designed for the commercial printing, direct mail and publishing markets.

The Japanese manufacturer has just finalized the development of this new digital printing machine, which will join the Truepress Jet range, dedicated to high-speed inkjet solutions. This range comprises inkjet systems that print directly on offset-coated paper without the need for inkjet treatment.

The widest-width Truepress Jet press, the 560HDX handles paper widths of up to 560 mm, compared with 520 mm for the other three solutions (Truepress Jet 520HD, 520HD+ and 520HD AD). The Truepress Jet 560HDX reaches a speed of 150 meters per minute and offers a resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 DPI.

This new inkjet press uses Screen's Truepress SC2 ink. This new set of high optical density inks, which enables printing directly on offset-coated papers without pre-treatment, offers very vivid colors and dense blacks, assures the manufacturer.

The new drying system enables high ink densities to be fixed on substrates, enabling superior quality and wide-range printing on a wide range of papers.

The new system will be presented at the Drupa 2024 trade show, to be held from Tuesday May 28 to Friday June 7 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The launch date is not yet known.
