Xerox returns to sheetfed inkjet with the unveiling of the IJP900 color press. Aimed at printers positioned in transactional markets, direct marketing or integrated production environments, this press is designed for volumes of between 250,000 and one million prints per month. It is the fruit of a partnership between Xerox and Kyocera, formalized in August 2025. The machine is based on a Kyocera platform, adapted and marketed under the Xerox brand.
The IJP900, 150 A4 pages per minute and compatible with a wide range of substrates
With a speed of 150 A4 pages per minute, the IJP900 accepts weights from 52 to 360 g/m2 , simplex or duplex, without any special infrastructure.
This printing machine can handle both uncoated paper and inkjet-treated media, in formats up to 48 inches in sheet-fed mode.
The press uses water-based pigment inks. It boasts a resolution of 600 x 600 DPI, extendable to 600 x 1200.
Integration into the Xerox production environment
The IJP900 is part of the Xerox digital ecosystem. It is compatible with FreeFlow for workflow management, XMPie for document personalization, and integrated automation and analysis tools. The aim is to reduce preparation tasks, automate repetitive operations and provide real-time production data.
The system is equipped with a Xerox EX IJP900 print server, developed with Fiery, for color management and variable data workflow.
In-line finishing modules can be combined with the press, for example for brochure production or drilling.
Available in Europe later this year
This inkjet addition completes the toner offering comprising the Iridesse, Versant and PrimeLink presses, "while enabling Xerox to tackle new areas of growth with its innovations and capabilities." emphasizes Xerox.
Now available in North America, the IJP900 will be offered in Europe in 2026.
