By renaming and reorganizing its Nantes-based subsidiary, Armor Group aims to "confirm its leadership in EMEA as a real and fair alternative".

Altkin is the new name of Armor Print Solutions, the Nantes-based subsidiary of the French Armor group since the end of January. This new identity is accompanied by a new Fair printing signature. A major player in the European alternative printing market, with over 700 employees and sales of 90 million euros, Altkin produces two million remanufactured ink cartridges a year.

Why Altkinâeuros?

In its press release, Armor Group states that the new name, " a major event" is the "the fruit of strategic reflection on the circular economy".
Hence the choice of Altkin, Alt meaning alternative but also designating that little key on the keyboard which offers multiple input combinations, and Kin meaning family or clan and also being an anagram of ink.

For Armor Group, "the name Altkin represents our shared mission to find different ways to create impact, together" .

A mission supported by the creation of four pillars

Altkin's stated ambition is to "confirm its leadership in EMEA as a real and fair alternative in a fast-changing market", explains Gerwald van der Gijp, Altkin's Managing Director.

Altkin's product and service offering is now organized around four divisions: Products, Care, Tech and Tailored.
The Products division, with its Owa brand of reconditioned consumables, aims to focus on copiers and professional inkjets.
The Care division offers service and software solutions to facilitate print fleet management.
The Tech division, with the A2i brand, is dedicated to the design of water-based inks for, among other things, DTF printing, printing on porous surfaces and flexible packaging, and sublimation.
The Tailored division includes white-label production of consumables, ink refilling and collection of empty cartridges.
