Sprinter turns to recycled materials with the arrival of Capoverde

Sprinter, a specialist in large-format printing media, takes a strategic step forward with the acquisition of Capoverde. This alliance highlights Capotoile, a recycled and recyclable textile made in France, which meets the growing environmental challenges of the sector.

Sprinter, a recognized player in the distribution of materials for large-format printing, marks a turning point by integrating Capoverde into its business. Founded in 2011, Capoverde specializes in textiles made from recycled plastic bottles. With this acquisition, Sprinter is responding to a growing demand for sustainable media, notably with Capotoile, Capoverde's flagship product. Capotoile is locally manufactured and has a double virtue: it is made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable.

"The integration of Capoverde brings together a manufacturer renowned for its unique solutions and a distributor with proven technical expertise in large-format printing," emphasizes Julien Perez, co-director of Sprinter.

In a context where the recyclability of products is often limited by underdeveloped channels, Capotoile is positioned as a sustainable and pragmatic solution. Designed from plastic bottles collected in selective sorting circuits, it reduces the carbon footprint right from the manufacturing stage. The fibers obtained after plastic processing are woven into a textile coated with water-based acrylics, guaranteeing both resistance and print quality. This approach extends the life cycle of materials while minimizing the use of non-renewable resources.

This substrate, which complies with M1 fire-protection standards and European REACH directives, is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Its diffusive properties also make it an ideal choice for backlit structures. Thanks to its French manufacturing, this fabric reflects local and eco-responsible values, while guaranteeing optimum performance. Whether for banners, displays or stretched canvases, it enables faithful reproduction of visuals.
