Komori Chambon has acquired Canadian Primoflex Systems (CPS), a specialist in flexographic presses. This strategic operation, finalized in January 2025, strengthens Komori Chambon's presence in North America and enhances its technological portfolio to better meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions.

By integrating CPS into its group, Komori Chambon is pursuing its ambition to become a key player in paper-cardboard converting technologies. This acquisition marks a step towards meeting the varied needs of industry, particularly in the packaging, pharmaceutical and specific applications sectors.

The flexographic technology developed by CPS offers solutions for a wide range of applications, from paper and cardboard packaging to security printing. By combining this expertise with Komori Chambon's offset and rotogravure skills, the Group now has a complete range of solutions to meet the growing needs of printers seeking flexibility and precision.

Flagship machines such as the CPS LP series are distinguished by their modular design and their ability to handle both short and long runs. This flexibility is particularly in demand in fast-moving sectors such as food and pharmaceutical packaging.

The paper & board market is experiencing strong growth, driven by increased demand for sustainable packaging solutions. By leveraging the technological capabilities of CPS, Komori Chambon is positioned to offer equipment for the production of environmentally-friendly packaging, while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

The use of presses equipped with UV and IR curing systems, as well as advanced control mechanisms, guarantees reduced waste and increased energy efficiency, responding to the environmental concerns of manufacturers.

The acquisition of CPS consolidates Komori Chambon's presence in the North American market, a strategic market for its development. With facilities in Canada, CPS brings not only technical expertise but also a well-established network of customers in sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals and tobacco.

This integration enables Komori Chambon to offer a complete range of solutions in this territory, strengthening its attractiveness in the face of local and international competitors.

The alliance between CPS and Komori Chambon illustrates an ambitious vision: to become a world leader in converting technologies. Following the acquisition of Bernal LLC in 2024, this new step confirms Komori Corporation's strategy of expanding its influence in the packaging and specialty printing sectors.
