Specializing in magazine printing for 102 years, Imprimerie Léonce Deprez has added a new string to its bow. The family business, based in Wancourt in the Pas-de-Calais region, has launched Les Étiquettes de Léonce, to meet the needs of short runs of self-adhesive labels.
Until now, small breweries and other producers haven't had a local solution in a region rich in beer manufacturers. Imprimerie Léonce Deprez aims to fill this gap with short-run production.
And to ensure rapid production, Les Étiquettes de Léonce purchased a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel reel-to-reel press. Combined with a half-chair die-cutting machine, it enables production of short runs with variable data.
Les Étiquettes de Léonce is also focused on CSR. The workshop has taken care to choose materials compatible with the specificities of bottle deposits. The workshop uses water-soluble glues and food-safe inks that do not pollute the water used to wash the bottles to be reused.
And Léonce-Antoine Deprez, head of the printing works, is counting on flexibility, thanks in particular to the possibility of producing one-off labels, and responsiveness, with delivery between two and seven days.
"Yes, we start small" acknowledges the entrepreneur, who makes no secret of his ambition: "We are skilled in flow management: we apply to the label market what we have mastered for over a century in the press."
