Peter Saak takes over as head of Canon EMEA's printing division

Canon EMEA announces the appointment of Peter Saak as Head of Integrated Printing & Services (IPS, formerly Digital Printing & Solutions), effective January 2026.

With a long career within the Group, Peter Saak has headed up Canon's B2B activities in Eurasia, Central Europe and Austria. Until now, he was Executive Vice President in charge of developing regions (Southeast Europe, Middle East, Africa).
Peter Saak succeeds Hiro Imamura, who has been recalled to headquarters in Japan, after five years of strong market share growth in office and production printing, according to Canon.
In his new role, Peter Saak will drive the strategic integration of Canon's advanced print technologies with value-added services, while expanding the ecosystem of solutions for document and print management.

Kornit Digital appoints new Director of Financial Markets

Kornit Digital, specialized in digital printing technologies for fashion and textiles, announces the appointment of Andrew G. Backman as Chief Capital Markets Officer, effective January 13, 2026.
Already Kornit's Global Head of Investor Relations between 2021 and 2023, he returns with over $30 billion in transactions under his belt, and solid experience in dealing with institutional investors and investment banks. He most recently held the same role at EMCOR Group. Based at Kornit's US headquarters in New Jersey, Andrew Backman will be responsible for supporting Kornit's financial strategy.

Philaposte recruits at Alliance Étiquettes to strengthen its wines & spirits strategy

Émilie Vallière joins Philaposte, La Poste Group's printing division, as market manager for wines & spirits.

After nearly eight years with Alliance Étiquettes as Key Account Manager, Émilie Vallière is now putting her sector expertise to work on Philaposte's diversification strategy.
Equipped with a full range of industrial facilities, the public printing house intends to capitalize on its historic expertise in intaglio, an exceptional technique whose subtleties it has mastered for 150 years in the label sector.

Uwe Väth takes over the management of the Edelmann Group

German packaging manufacturer Edelmann has appointed Uwe Väth as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Aged 54, the engineer by training and MBA brings with him a wealth of experience in operational management, gained in particular at Gillette, PwC, Schenck Process Group and then DS Smith Packaging, where he had headed up activities in Germany and Switzerland since 2020.
At Edelmann, he will oversee production at European and international sites, the supply chain, R&D, quality and strategic development.

Domino's Adem Kulauzovic joins OMAC's Board of Directors

Adem Kulauzovic, Domino's Director of Automation, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Organization for Machine Automation and Control (OMAC). He will represent the challenges of coding and marking in a sector undergoing rapid digital change.
A player in standardization in production line automation, OMAC is notably behind the PackML standard, which facilitates interoperability between industrial machines and PLCs. A member of the organization since 2017, Domino thus strengthens its commitment to work on cybersecurity, sustainability and the digital transformation of processes.
