Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of Durst, made the announcement in a message on LinkedIn: the Italian manufacturer of digital printing systems has acquired a majority stake in Hasler Solutions, a Spanish designer of cutting systems.
And very importantly for Christoph Gamper, Marc Hasler, managing director and owner of Hasler Solutions, remains in place. "He remains co-owner and the driving force behind the company. From the very first time we met, it was obvious that we were going to work together. We shared the same values, the same requirements and the same ambition" says Christoph Gamper.
Before founding Hasler Solutions in 2008, Marc Hasler worked for various cutting machine manufacturers, including eight years with Swiss manufacturer Zünd and nine years with Bullmer in Germany.
Hasler Solutions, which operates mainly in Spain and Germany, offers the Magna cutting range, a 5.1 m wide cutting table in five lengths from 2.5 m to 5.3 m.
In his message, Christoph Gamper, head of a group with over 1,100 employees in 40 countries, also insists on maintaining Hasler Solutions' independence and openness to new ideas "all customers . The manager specifies that this clause is "non-negotiable . Marc Hasler also reacted on LinkedIn, saying "happy and proud" to see Hasler Solutions join Durst.
Durst announces plans to "printing and cutting at an industrial level that the market expects and deserves. Scalable, robust, without compromising on quality."
The group indicates that further announcements will be made at the Fespa Global Print Expo, to be held in Barcelona from May 19 to 22, 2026.
