Kolbus closes its French subsidiary

Kolbus changes its sales organization in France. The Kolbus France subsidiary has been replaced by a partnership with SMG Pixis, now responsible for sales and service of the manufacturer's equipment to the French graphic arts and packaging industries.

Structural change for Kolbus in the French market. The German manufacturer of machines for industrial bookbinding, luxury packaging and corrugated converting has closed its subsidiary Kolbus France. Sales and technical support are now entrusted to SMG Pixis, who will become the brand's exclusive agent.

Based in Vulaines-sur-Seine, SMG Pixis has been working with French graphic arts and packaging companies for over thirty years. Under the terms of the agreement, SMG Pixis will now be responsible for marketing Kolbus machines and providing the associated technical support.

With the closure of Kolbus France, the manufacturer explains that it wants to simplify its local presence and rely on a partner with a sales and technical structure already established in the country, whether for graphic arts solutions, machines for luxury packaging or certain corrugated converting equipment.

For Kolbus, the closure of the French subsidiary is not a sign of disengagement from France - quite the contrary: "We rely on the field. This new structure offers our customers direct access to cutting-edge technologies, backed up by a localized, highly responsive technical support team."

This French reorganization comes just a few weeks after a change of governance at Kolbus. Michael R. Bach has become Managing Director and Paul Galburt, Chief Financial Officer. They join the Group alongside Mathias Sieckmann, Sales Director, and Sven Kolwey, Operations Director, both of whom have been with the manufacturer for many years.
