EPPT for high-speed coding of Domino egg cartons
Domino Printing Sciences launches the Egg Pack Printing Traverser (EPPT), a dedicated solution for dynamic, high-speed, multi-channel egg carton printing.
Designed to integrate with modern graders, including Moba Omnia and Sanovo GraderPro sorters, the EPPT combines Gx Series thermal inkjet printers with a translation system for stable, accurate printing on molded fiber, plastic packaging or pre-labeled boxes.
This solution achieves speeds of up to 50 cans per minute, and can be coupled with the Domino Vision system for in-line code verification and automatic ejection of non-conforming packs.
With this scalable platform, Domino aims to meet the sector's growing traceability and compliance requirements, particularly in terms of GS1 QR codes and "egg-to-pallet" tracking.
Death of Jacques Mourlot, master lithographer and printer
Jacques Mourlot, lithographer and chevalier des Palmes académiques, died on February 22, 2026 in Paris, in his 93rd year.
Son of Fernand Mourlot, a major figure in art lithography in the XX? century, he grew up in the family studio, a creative hotbed frequented by artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Miró, Matisse, Braque and Soulages, as well as numerous writers and poets.
After his military service in North Africa, in 1954 he joined the Paris workshop to assist his father, of whom he became the closest collaborator. A technician renowned for his precision and attention to detail, he contributed to the development of printing processes and worked with major publishers, including Tériade for the magazine Verve, printing Chagall's Bible (1965).
In 1966, he founded the Bank Street Studio in New York, where he collaborated with American artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Ellsworth Kelly and Lee Krasner. Returning to Paris in the 1970s, he took over management of the family studio until his retirement in 1990, continuing his work with Chagall, Miró and Bernard Buffet.
He leaves us with the image of a demanding craftsman, heir and transmitter of a know-how that has marked the history of contemporary lithography.
Enfocus offers a tool to assess companies' digital maturity
Enfocus offers a new online tool, the Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA), designed to help companies measure their level of readiness for digital transformation.
Taking the form of a questionnaire, the assessment analyzes various operational criteria âeuros automation, systems integration, internal skills, processes, budget and technological environment âeuros in order to position the company on one of five levels of digital maturity, from the "reactive" stage (predominantly manual processes) to the "optimized" level (complete, data-driven automation and integration).
At the end of the analysis, Enfocus provides general recommendations and areas for improvement based on its own software solutions (Switch, PitStop, Phoenix or Griffin).
The publisher highlights the benefits associated with advanced digital maturity: efficiency gains, cost reductions, improved customer experience and contribution to sustainability objectives through automation and waste reduction
While the tool is aimed primarily at the printing, large-format and packaging industries, Enfocus emphasizes that its automation solutions are also aimed at other industrial and service sectors.
