Coronavirus and Sun Chemical inks

The American printing ink manufacturer Sun Chemical wants to reassure itself: in the midst of a coronavirus epidemic, it is particularly vigilant with regard to its supply chain, especially suppliers of raw and intermediate materials and logistics service providers.
Jeffrey Shaw, Sun Chemical's Supply Chain Manager, says: "We have set up control teams to manage each of these areas in China.. (stock, transit, orders, editor's note) and to take the necessary precautions to avoid any supply disruption. And, we also focus on materials from China and other high-risk regions that are indicated to us. We will continue to keep our customers informed during this process. We are committed to following this process with our customers to ensure that supply disruptions are minimized."

Rising paper prices at Lecta

Lecta announces a price increase on its thermal papers, effective since the end of January 2020. The increase is in the order of 8 to 10% depending on the country.

A desktop label printer with integrated cut-out

DTM Print offers an LX610e colour label printer from US manufacturer Primera Technology. The LX610e is the world's only full-color desktop label printer and plotter that delivers photo-quality labels in all sizes and shapes. It combines color inkjet printing (up to 4800 dpi) with integrated digital die-cutting (custom dies) and a cutter (horizontal cut).

Call for artists working with paper and cardboard

The Société lyonnaise des beaux-arts (SLBA) is calling for applications from artists working in drawing, paper or cardboard sculpture, engraving and other graphic arts on paper or cardboard to be exhibited at the Lyon Art Paper exhibition.
The 6th edition of Lyon Art Paper will take place from 8 to 11 October 2020 at the Palais de Bondy, Lyon 5e. This event is dedicated to contemporary drawing and, more broadly, to contemporary works and works on paper or cardboard.
All artists for whom graphic design is the preferred mode of creation and expression can apply.
Applications can be made online on the SLBA website (18 euros application fee) until March 8, 2020.
