The Canon Labelstream 4000 6-colour is better than many of the 7 colours on the market

The label press is the first 6-colour press to achieve the PSD Print Check certification, and this with the highest score.

Fogra, the research institute for communication technologies, has analysed the prints from the LabelStream 4000 6-colour digital label press (white + CMYK + orange) and declared the machine compliant with the requirements of the PSD Print Check.

The institute's analysis has shown that LabelStream printing in terms of colour gamut, homogeneity and consistency reaches level A, which is the maximum score, according to the ProcessStandard Digital (PSD) Print Check (based on ISO/TS 15311-2).

"Evaluating the color gamut of the 6-color LabelStream gives a better result than many of the 7-color digital label presses available on the market today." congratulates the manufacturer.

This makes the LabelStream 4000 the first 6-colour digital press to be certified as meeting the requirements of the PSD Print Check.

Thanks in particular to its Xaar 2001+ UV inkjet printheads, the LabelStream 4000 series achieves 96% coverage of the Pantone colour gamut with a delta E 2000 of less than 2.

Fogra's PSD Print Check analyzes, through visual examination, the following characteristics: color fidelity, color consistency and uniformity, resolution and artifacts. "The LabelStream allows for high quality labels and accurately matching brand colors on standard labels."

The LabelStream 4000 series can be experienced through virtual demonstrations or on site at the Customer Experience Center in Poing, Germany.
