Kodak's award-winning Continuous Inkjet Technology

Analysts at Buyers Lab-Keypoint Intelligence felt that these products from Kodak and Uteco would have a positive impact on the industry.

While the digital press manufacturer won just a few weeks ago two prestigious ?InterTech Technology Awards 2020 Kodak today won five Buyers Lab (BLI) Outstanding Innovation 2021 awards in the Printing category.

These awards are presented by the Keypoint Intelligence Evaluation Group and recognize new products or technologies that Keypoint Intelligence Buyers Lab analysts believe will advance a product category or significantly advance the industry.

The Buyers Lab (BLI) Outstanding Innovation jury rated the products and solutions in contention according to criteria of quality, productivity, connectivity, flow and media range, but also on the environmental aspect. The potential impact of the product on the targeted market segment or product class was the focus of the evaluation.

Contest members chose to award five continuous, high-speed inkjet products and technologies developed by Kodak, namely the 533 mm wide reel-to-reel press, the Kodak Prosper Ultra 520 Kodak Prosper Plus printing systems, Kodak Prosper QD ink sets for packaging and Film Optimizer Agent (FOA), and Uteco Sapphire EVO M flexible packaging presses based on Kodak Stream inkjet technology, and Uteco Sapphire EVO W based on Kodak Ultrastream inkjet technology.

"At Kodak, we consider these five awards to be a resounding success. They confirm Kodak's leadership and innovative power in inkjet technology, comments Randy Vandagriff, executive vice president of printing at Eastman Kodak Company. These five awards, including the two we are sharing with our partner Uteco, show customers that they have powerful digital solutions to explore new applications that are expected to revolutionize digital commercial and packaging printing"
