Government Opens Window to Support Business Investment

As part of its recovery plan, the government wants to accelerate the adoption of new technologies in SMEs and ITEs.

As part of its recovery plan to deal with the health and economic crisis, the government announced in October the opening of a window "enabling SMEs (and ETIs) to benefit from aid for investments in transformation towards the industry of the future". This is a "cash support concomitant with investment" which should enable French companies to improve the competitiveness of their production processes, the government said.

The aid is between 40 % and 10 % of the cost of the investment, subject to various conditions

What facilities are concernés??

The government specifies in an order of 23 October the different categories of equipment concerned by this measure. The property must fall into one of the following categories:

  1. Robotic equipment and robotiques?;
  2. Manufacturing equipment additive?;
  3. Software used for design, manufacturing, processing or maintenance?;
  4. Integrated machines for computing intensif?;
  5. Physical sensors collecting data on the company's production site, production line or system transitique?;
  6. Production machines with programmable control or numérique?;
  7. Augmented reality and virtual reality equipment used for design, manufacturing, processing or maintenance?;
  8. Software or equipment whose use makes use, in whole or in part, of artificial intelligence and which is used for design, manufacturing or processing operations, as well as for all maintenance and production optimisation operations.

Dossier to be submitted until 31 December, and the scheme renewed in 2021 and 2022

Businesses can submit their applications today and up to and including 31 December 2020 to the Services and Payment Agency. This system will be renewed in 2021 and 2022.
