A fifth rotary press will be installed at the Mercator Press printing plant of the Em. De Jong. Next spring, the printing company in Jabbeke, Belgium, will run an 80-page heatset Manroland Lithoman 80-page web press with a width of 225 cm.
"Despite a more than complicated market situation, particularly following the covid pandemic19 , Mercator Press still believes in the future and proves, through this new counter-cyclical investment, its total confidence in its market" indicates the direction.
With this new press, the 100-employee printing company specialising in the production of advertising leaflets for the Belgian and French markets wants to expand its product range.
In the Dutch group Em. De Jong, this press is the last link in the machine park, which until now has consisted of 8-16-24 -32-48-56-72-84-96 presses and 120 pages spread over the seven printing sites, including the Belgian printing house Casterman.
