35 HP Indigo 120K presses ordered by Shutterfly

The order for 35 HP Indigo 120K digital presses is one of the manufacturer's biggest investments to date.

Shutterfly will replace its entire B2 fleet with 35 HP Indigo 120K digital presses. This multi-year agreement between the American online retailer of personalized photos and products begins in 2026, with an initial deployment phase, and is one of the largest investments ever made by HP.

Designed for continuous production environments, the B2-format HP Indigo 120K press integrates automation, predictive diagnostics and quality management features. HP presents it as the most advanced HP Indigo platform for high-volume commercial printing, offering gains in productivity, reliability and print quality.

The agreement also covers consumables, services and software tools. Shutterfly relies in particular on the HP PrintOS environment to control its production workflows, connect its equipment and exploit press data to optimize operational performance.

Dwayne Black, Shutterfly's Director of Operations, explains: "Modernizing our entire press fleet will significantly improve efficiency and quality during peak season."

For Noam Zilbershtain, vice-president and general manager of HP Indigo, "it's not just an investment in new presses, but an investment in a new operating model" . The industrialist sees this as an evolution towards digital production on an industrial scale, integrating automation and data-driven control.
