Bobst unveils a new rotogravure press, the Vision RS 5003

This press for flexible media is dedicated to short, medium and long runs.

During a virtual event that took place on February 10, live from Bobst at its Competence Center for Rotogravure Printing and Laminating in Italy, Bobst presented the Expert RS 6003 rotogravure press and the Nova D 800 multi-technology laminator, launched last year. The Swiss manufacturer also unveiled a brand new high-performance gravure press, called the Vision RS 5003.

With a width of 1260 mm, this printing machine is an evolution of the Nova RS 5003 and reaches higher speeds of up to 450 m/min (compared to 350 m/min for its predecessor). It is suitable for short, medium and long run production of flexible packaging and other flexible material applications.

The Vision RS 5003 printer is compatible with both solvent and water-based inks, and handles all types of flexible substrates (film, paper, and laminates), including newer, more environmentally friendly substrates.
Job changes are fully automated and can be made at the machine's maximum production speed. In addition to the advanced automation functions, the Swiss manufacturer has also taken care of the ecological aspect, reducing operating costs. The ink volume in circulation is minimal, automatic registering reduces waste, regardless of the operator's level of experience, and the dual-stream drying chambers and high-efficiency ventilation system save energy.

The design of the press offers different options, in terms of configuration but also in terms of the aesthetics of the machine.
