After a difficult year for many industries, large-format printers will gain more versatility with HP's two new flexible media printer series, the Latex 700 and Latex 800.
These two 1.63m inkjet ranges comprise four models: the HP Latex 700 and 800, and the HP Latex 700W and 800W.
The W models are equipped with white printing for the first time in this product category. This ink, the whitest ink on the market and which does not yellow over time, makes it possible to print on transparent and coloured materials, for example window graphics and stickers.
Water based Latex inks also allow for vehicle covering applications, textile printing directly on polyester and cotton fabrics and the production of canvas and wall papers.
The HP Latex 700 and 800 series are equipped with new printheads that allow them to reach 31 m 2 /H for Latex 700, and 36 m 2 And the colours are vivid, and the text and images more accurate, even at high printing speeds.
All four models work with HP Eco Carton cartridges made from cardboard, reducing plastic use by 80 percent and carbon emissions by 60 percent.

In addition, HP Latex Inks are water-based. They are more environmentally friendly than solvent inks and meet emission standards in sensitive indoor spaces such as healthcare or schools.
"With HP Latex, it is possible to meet all customer demands, without worrying about rapid program changes or application specifications. Customers can meet deadlines without compromising operator safety or harming the environment, because every signage or decoration project conducted with HP Latex is sustainable." explains Hind Guilleminot, large format print marketing manager, HP France.
