Soon to be 100 years old, Pierotti is investing and preparing for the future

Over the years, the Nice-based printing company has increased its packaging printing activity. It also specializes in the printing of pharmaceutical leaflets.

During the sanitary crisis, Pierotti's printing house was able to stay open and continue its activity, explains Viviane Leger who works in the commercial department of the company.

Founded in 1923 and located in Nice, the company carries out all types of commercial work as well as packaging printing: adhesive labels, flexible bags, cardboard sleeves, envelopes, stitching... But the bulk of its activity consists of printing pharmaceutical leaflets.

Today, the family printing company has 15 employees and serves a varied clientele in all sectors of activity, including the animal health sector. The diversity of its activities leads the printer to invest each year in different machines.

In 2020, due to the situation, the printing house did not make any major investments. However, it has invested in a varnishing and laminating machine for adhesive labels.

"We used to do only laser cutting, but we reinvested in mechanical cutting because laser cutting does not allow us to do all the supports explains Marc Leger, the company's president since the early 2000s.

Investments for 2021 and major projects

For 2021, the company plans to invest in an additional folding machine to increase production volume (the printing plant already has five). The last folding machine was acquired in 2020. The printing company also has plans to invest in cutting/creasing and digital printing only in black for pharmaceutical leaflets.

The Pierotti printing house has several major projects. "We want to turn a little more to the manufacture of packaging to meet the market demand explains Viviane Leger We also want to continue to improve our internal processes and towards our clients to be more responsive in our services and more available to advise and guide them.

Last but not least, in 2023 the printing plant will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
