The solidarity print shop in Martigné-sur-Mayenne (Pays de la Loire) will acquire a digital press by the beginning of June, reveals the newspaper Le Courrier de la Mayenne . This investment of 115,000 euros is supported by the State's stimulus plan.
The director of the printing company, Ghislaine Rittre, explains in the weekly newspaper that the project was for a time slowed down by the health crisis which caused the company's turnover to drop by 30% in 2020. For the printer already equipped in offset, the use of a digital press will allow in particular to reduce the costs of printing on the small series.
Investment assistance for businesses
As part of its recovery plan to address the health and economic crisis, the government has opened in 2020 a window "allowing SMEs (and ETIs) to benefit from aid for investments in transformation to the industry of the future." The objective is to accelerate the adoption of new technologies in SMEs and ETIs.
It is a "cash support concomitant to the investment" that should allow French companies to improve the competitiveness of their production processes, says the government. The aid ranges from 40% to 10% of the cost of the investment, depending on various conditions.
The first adapted industrial printing company in France, Imprimerie Solidaire has 80% of disabled employees in its production workforce. It is equipped with several Knig & Bauer offset presses (one 74x106 5 colors + varnish, and one 54x75 5 colors), a complete finishing park, and has a storage capacity of 7500 m2.
