France is well above the European average for paper recycling

According to Eurostat figures, 66.3% of packaging weight was recycled in Europe in 2018. France is slightly below average in packaging recycling with a rate of 65.7%. On the other hand, in the area of paper and cardboard waste France is well above the European average (84.2%), with a recycling rate that reached 92.1% in 2018.

500 million euro fine for Google

The French Competition Authority has imposed a fine of 500 million euros on Google. It accuses the American giant of not having negotiated "in good faith" with press publishers on the application of neighboring rights, the remuneration due to publishers for the use of their content.

Extension of the virtual exhibition until July 30

Fujifilm's virtual exhibition "Believing in Print" started on June 24 and has been extended until July 30. In a large 3D exhibition area, the Japanese manufacturer is presenting its new products, including the new high-speed Jet Press 750S model, as well as new CTP offset solutions, digital solutions for commercial and packaging printing, and large-format solutions for signage and display applications.

A carrot paper at the Moulin du Got

The Got paper mill in the Haute-Vienne (Limousin) announced in July the latest addition to its "vegetable paper" range. It is a paper made from flax fibers, hemp and carrot peelings from the school canteen in Saint Léonard-de-Noblat. Until August 27, the mill offers its summer workshops with many activities around paper.
