German printing company Goldschmidt, a third-generation family-owned business located in northwestern Germany's Lower Saxony, shares its experience following the acquisition of the Fujifilm Jet Press 750S.
The press arrived in May 2021 at the printer whose business involves a wide variety of applications: brochures, books, calendars, business cards, direct mail, or even large format, with a growing demand for personalization.
"We offer printing solutions to a wide variety of markets, and we're seeing a big increase in requests from our customers for custom printing, and more generally, short runs. This is actually a growing trend over the past few years, and we have restructured our business to accommodate this, explains Vera Goldschmidt, CEO of the company.
Goldschmidt primarily uses the Jet Press 750S for brochure, book and calendar printing, allowing it to offload other equipment. The printer adds that it has moved jobs from offset to digital as a result of the acquisition.
Vera Goldschmidt also mentions the importance of the environmental aspect in her investment choice: "In addition to the attractive pricing structure and excellent print quality, the water-based inks and durability credentials also weighed in our decision.»
Finally, the printer also praised the support offered by the Fujifilm team. "We see them as a partner rather than a supplier," says Goldschmidt.
