The DF-1300L, the long format folding machine from Duplo

The Duplo DF-1300L folding machine handles papers up to 648 mm long and performs many different folds.

Long-form paper is expected to grow at a CAGR of 43%, according to Keypoint Intelligence-Infotrends 2020. Based on this trend, Japanese manufacturer Duplo has designed a folder for these extended formats, the DF-1300L folder.

The Duplo DF-1300L folding machine supports the folding of sheets up to 648 mm long (and 311 mm wide) to finish a six-panel tri-fold A4 brochure or a four-page landscape A4 brochure.

It can make a single fold, an accordion fold (regular and irregular), two rolled folds, a window fold, a cross fold or a custom fold.
It is a suction folder with ultrasonic double feed detection. Its feeding capacity reaches 310 sheets/min and it has a memory of 30 jobs.
Duplo's machine handles papers from 50 to 160 g/m 2 and up to 230 g/m 2 for the simple folding of an A4 sheet.

"Long format applications are becoming increasingly popular as printers take advantage of the expanded capabilities of their digital printers." explains Marine Kerivel-Brown, Marketing Director at Duplo International. "Combining this folder with other new products - such as the DC-618 cutter-slitter, which handles banner formats up to 1200 mm long, while providing automated cutting, creasing and perforating - produces a very wide range of applications. This will complement specific business needs for a limited footprint."
