Contiweb is expanding its product range with new solutions. The Dutch group specializing in drying, gluing and fluid application solutions for commercial and packaging printing has acquired WS Print.
Founded in 1989 and based in Schnaittach, Germany, WS Print specializes in the manufacture and distribution of silicone emulsions, silicone oils and fountain solutions for the printing industry.
With this operation, Contiweb intends to become an integrated solution provider. "Printing chemicals have a strategic appeal for us because of the strong technical link to the equipment supplied by Contiweb, explains Joost Smits, CEO of Contiweb. Many Contiweb customers are already WS Print customers and we want to strengthen that relationship. Integrating technical expertise with equipment and supplies will spur the development of new solutions that will help our customers reduce their printing costs and environmental footprint."
alexander Auerbach-Spielberger, WS Print's managing director, states: "We continue to operate independently in the market under our own brand name from our current location in Schnaittach. Joining forces with Contiweb will allow us to reach more customers and integrate our products with Contiweb's equipment."
