IGN puts its large format offset printing machines up for sale

Bids for the sale by mutual agreement of printing, pre-press and finishing machines must be sent in by March 31, 2023.

The French National Institute for Geographic and Forestry Information (IGN) is selling, by mutual agreement, three lots of printing, prepress and finishing machines: a KBA offset press, a CTP Cron and a Schneider-Werk Senator cutter.

The first batch is the 5-color KBA Rapida 145 sheetfed offset press, acquired in 2015, which totals 24 million impressions. It was maintained by the manufacturer based on its own recommendations.
Its optional equipment (Sensoric infeed system) allows to roll at high speed thin papers in 106x145 cm format. In addition to the CIPLinkX, which allows the opening of the augers to be preset from CIP3 data, the KBA is equipped with a density measurement device and automatic ink fountain control, as well as a stand-alone four-color ink supply system.

The second batch is the prepress equipment, which consists of a 2018 Cron TCO and an Agfa Elantrix 150S processor from 2007.

The third lot is a Schneider-Werk Senator 185 SC cutter from 1988.

The IGN's printing fleet, which benefits from manufacturer maintenance, is a model fleet in perfect working order.
