The Luxel T-X and Luxel T-S, the new thermal CTPs from Fujifilm

This compact CTP range is available in five models to meet different production speed requirements.

Fujifilm is launching two new thermal CTP series for high-quality offset plate production, the Luxel T-X and T-S. These platesetters are based on a multi-channel technology with spatial light modulation, which ensures quality, exposure stability and high productivity, says the manufacturer.

This compact range consists of five 8-position models: two high-speed CTPs - the Luxel T-X5 (55 plates per hour) and Luxel T-X4 (45 pph) - and three standard-speed models - the Luxel T-S3 (31 pph), Luxel T-S2 (25 pph) and Luxel T-S1 (18 pph).

These series are compact, measuring 190 cm x 251 cm on the ground for the CTP with manual loading. They can operate continuously with optional multi-cassette loading.
Optional 8mm and 6mm clamps on T-X models ensure compatibility with many sheet-fed and web presses.

The work and the system are managed by a PC interface with fiber optic cabling, which allows to visualize the parameters on a large screen.

Fujifilm also offers a remote maintenance service to monitor the status of the system offsite and to keep track of what needs to be done and what consumables need to be replaced.

Sean Lane, head of media management and offset products, says in a statement: "With its compact size, ease of use and enhancements to its exposure features, it should help add value to offset print providers' operations and improve their return on investment."
