The former Condat paper mill confirms its conversion
Acquired in February 2026 by Condat Solutions, a subsidiary of the SPB Group, the former Condat paper mill in Lardin-Saint-Lazare, in the Dordogne, has confirmed that it is ceasing all activities related to paper production. The new owner has outlined its industrial plan, which centers on the installation of an AI-Factory and the development of related activities, thereby bringing the site?s history as a paper mill to a definitive end.
The former factory, which has been in operation since 1907, will retain its industrial infrastructure, with 126,000 m² being repurposed 2 buildings. The project also calls for the reactivation of the biomass power plant, the establishment of wood processing operations and vegetable greenhouses, and the creation of a training center for careers in artificial intelligence. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2026.

Hubergroup launches Gecko CyclOne, a line of nitrocellulose-free inks
Hubergroup Print Solutions is expanding its lineup of inks for flexible packaging with Gecko CyclOne, a new nitrocellulose-free (NC-free) range designed for flexography and rotogravure. Based on in-house developed polyurethane technology, it is designed for single-sided, double-sided, and laminated printing.
The manufacturer states that this product line meets packaging recyclability requirements while maintaining performance comparable to traditional nitrocellulose-based systems.
Herma automates label roll changes without stopping the production line
Herma is expanding the capabilities of its AutoSplicer system with an optional cutting device that allows for automatic label roll changes, even when the label strip remains attached to the core.
The AutoSplicer uses two dispensers: before the active roll runs out, the label web is automatically spliced to the label web from the backup roll, without interrupting the labeling process. The new device cuts the tape before the roll is completely depleted when it is still attached to the core. Herma states that the system accepts paper, film, transparent, or multilayer labels and operates at tape speeds exceeding 110 m/min.

SDAG Adhésifs has become the exclusive distributor in France of Biond, a line of bio-based adhesive films designed primarily for the visual communications industry.
