Agfa Offset Solutions changes its name

The new owner unveils the logo of the ex-division of the Belgian Agfa, which keeps its teams, but changes its name.

Agfa Offset Solutions is no more. The investment company Aurelius, the new owner of Agfa's offset division- Gevaert has renamed the company. From now on, the prepress offset activity, which employs 1700 people, is called Eco3.

This name first appeared at Drupa 2016 with the launch of a new generation of thermal offset plates, the Energy Elite Eco .

Joan Vermeersch, Eco3's global head of technology and marketing, explains: "Eco3 perfectly sums up what we stand for: we are committed to continuous innovation in products and services and focus on three times 'Eco': ecology, economy and extra convenienceâeuros (ecology, economy and great convenience, Editor's note) âeurosâeurosor Eco3."

The new logo, black and white, which may feature a cyan, magenta and yellow line and the baseline You Print. We Care, "expresses the agility of the company". As for the new colors - CMYK, they are "a tribute to our industry" he says.

With a 20% market share, Eco3 is one of the world's leading suppliers of prepress solutions for the offset printing industry with a portfolio of offset plates, films, equipment, services, software and chemicals.

Frederik Dehing, Eco3's global sales manager, emphasizes: "Although our brand, logo and colors are changing, nothing will change for our customers. They can continue to rely on their trusted account manager and service engineer (...)".

The new brand name will be phased in gradually.
