This automation solution for the imagePRESS V1000 and V1350 digital presses enables the production of landscape format brochures, which are often required for lookbooks, brochures and guides.

Canon expands the finishing capabilities of its imagePress V1000 and V1350 color toner presses with the BLM5000 booklet maker from Plockmatic.

Primarily intended for high-volume production, the BLM5000 module extends the banner format capabilities of imagePress presses by offering A4 landscape booklets in addition to the usual portrait formats.

This in-line and off-line processing equipment is available in the PBM5050 version with two stapling heads for up to 50 sheets (approx. 10 mm thick), PBM5035 with two 35-sheet stapling heads and PBM5035S with two 35-sheet stitching heads.

The BLM5000 also offers optional square back folding and trimming of bleeds on three sides to eliminate the beveling of the outer edge caused by folding sheets.

Jennifer Kolloczek of Canon Europe states: "The latest Canon imagePress production printing systems are capable of handling an unprecedented number of media and sheet sizes, while delivering exceptional levels of image quality.
