Siegwerk's center of excellence in France gets a facelift

The Haute-Savoie site, which produces 10% of the German Siegwerk Group's inks, now has a "bold, modern" look.

At the end of May, German manufacturer of printing and coating inks for packaging and labels Siegwerk celebrated the completion of modernization work at its French center of excellence. Located in Annemasse in the Haute-Savoie region of France, the building has benefited from major works: in addition to the renovation of offices, meeting rooms and sanitary facilities, the site, which employs 275 people, now boasts a new facade in the French style "bold, modern look" according to the group.

As a technical site, the Annemasse center combines research and development, production and testing capabilities. It is one of Siegwerk's 15 centers of excellence worldwide, which manufacture base inks and varnishes according to a standardized process.

With a production capacity of over 25,000 tonnes a year, the French plant accounts for 10% of the German-based group's annual output, and is Europe's leading site for water-based and inkjet solutions.

"Today, Annemasse is already one of Europe's leading industrial printing plants, and we will continue to do our utmost to remain at the forefront in the future." says Christopher van Laack, Vice President Business Units Paper & Board EMEA and Liquid Food Packaging at Siegwerk.
