Belgian publisher Enfocus has released an update for its PitStop Pro 2023 prepress tool. This latest version of the software for checking and correcting PDF files for printing supports macOS Sonoma, is enriched with new features and Enfocus has also made some frequently requested modifications and corrections.
"With version update 1 of PitStop Pro 2023, we're continuing to work on making the user experience ever more enjoyable. For example, we've added new possibilities for positioning PDF files in PitStop, allowing users to import PDF documents with greater finesse or place control bars with greater precision." explains Loïc Aigon, PitStop Production Manager.
In addition to its compatibility with macOS 14 (Sonoma), PitStop Pro 2023 includes a number of new features. With PitAplacing Form Xobjects, it is now possible to extract objects from Form Xobjects. It is also possible to deactivate the generation of debug data in Switch's PitStop Server configurator, optimizing the performance of high-volume production workflows.
The new version of preflight software detects poorly structured type 3 fonts, and is able to select elements according to their fill type or color scheme.
Enfocus Switch users also have the option of disabling debug data sets generated by the PitStop Server configurator. This will reduce memory usage and improve overall performance.
