Unveiled in beta version at Label Expo 2023 in September, AB Graphic International's Converter Series 4 is now available. In addition to a new design, this fourth generation of the Converter modular label production line, which handles rotary die-cutting, cold foil stamping, flexo printing, inkjet printing, laminating and slitting, offers new features and improvements over the third generation.
Faster, with a maximum speed of 250 m/min (compared with 220 m/min), ABG's Converter Series 4 can be equipped with a new flexo technology available in rotary and semi-rotary versions, ensuring better print quality and improved register, says the British manufacturer of digital label finishing machines.
The footprint of the converting line has been reduced compared with the previous series, and rewinding capacity has been increased to 800 m (compared with 700 mm previously).
ABG's Fleyevision inspection cameras can be positioned at various points along the line, before or after weaning.
Like the third generation, the Converter series 4 is available in 330, 430 and 540 mm widths.
