Personalization of objects and textiles: Roland DG launches two compact printers

VersaStudio BD-8 by Roland DG

Equipped with the same printheads as Roland DG's top-of-the-range inkjet models, the VersaStudio BD-8 and BY-20 small-format printers enable printing on a variety of shapes, materials and fabrics.

Roland DG launches two new products in the VersaStudio range of compact printing solutions: the VersaStudio BD-8 UV printer and the high-productivity DTF (Direct-To-Film) printer for garment and accessory decoration VersaStudio BY-20.

Visit VersaStudio BD-8 is a five-color UV inkjet printer (cMJN white) and primer that prints directly in high definition on a variety of shapes and materials, from soft fabrics to hard surfaces such as wood and plastics. It supports items up to A5 format and a height of 102 mm.
And with its optional rotary axis, the BD-8 can also print on cylindrical objects such as bottles and lipsticks.
The primer will improve ink adhesion to glass and metal, enabling personalization of smartphone shells, stationery and cosmetics.

Visit VersaStudio BY-20 is a water-based CMYK and white textile printer using the DTF transfer method. DTF technology, which involves printing a film and transferring the print to the textile using hot-melt powder, can be used to create T-shirts or sportswear in a variety of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, denim, nylon and rayon.

Equipped with the same printhead as Roland DG's high-end inkjet models, the BD-8 and BY-20 feature a minimalist interface with a simple power button, making them accessible to all.
