Durst unveils the P5 350 HS Pack, an automated solution for digital printing of corrugated packaging and displays.

Durst expands its large-format P5 range with the P5 Pack series, designed for displays and corrugated packaging. This new printer series opens with the P 5 350 HS Pack automated digital printing solution, available from the third quarter of 2024.

A range specially designed for corrugated board

The P5 Pack series is equipped with a carton guiding system and pressure rollers. Automated corrugated edge holders prevent collisions between printheads and substrates. " Width and height are set automatically by simply selecting the support channel in the software, which considerably reduces installation time." says the Italian manufacturer.

Its suction system offers up to 40% more suction power on the print web than conventional systems. This means that even heavy, curved corrugated boards can be flattened and printed cleanly, he assures us.

The P5 Pack series works with a new ink set, Luvera led, specially designed to meet the needs of display and packaging printing. Low odor, high abrasion resistance and high gloss characterize these inks, according to the manufacturer.

The entire printing process is constantly monitored by surveillance cameras.

The P5 Pack series also incorporates the sensor-controlled Multitrack 6 function, which enables up to six corrugated cartons to be printed in parallel by manual loading.

Customized automation with the Durst Automat MT feeding and stacking system

This new P 5 350 HS Pack printer can be accompanied by the Durst Automat MT, a brand-new automation solution for plate feeding and stacking. The Durst Automat MT handles up to four lanes in parallel and works in coordination with the Multitrack 6, even for difficult synthetic panels and thin substrates.

"With Automat MT, we can define different levels of automation, from 3/4 to full automation. This allows us to take our customers' productivity to the next level." says Christian Harder, Vice President Sales at Durst Group.
