Changes at the head of Manroland Sheetfed

Manroland Sheetfed announces a new General Manager and a new President.

German sheetfed offset press manufacturer Manroland Sheetfed has a new Managing Director, Mirko Kern. Mirko Kern succeeds Rafael Penuela, who is now Group President.

Mirko Kern, 51, began his career with the former Manroland Group in 1989 as an apprentice, then held various positions within the company until 2011.
Since 2016, he had been Managing Director of DC Druck Chemie, a Langley Holdings subsidiary since 2014 specializing in specialty chemicals, consumables and services for the printing industries.

As for Rafael Penuela, who joined Manroland in 1992, he had been head of the sheetfed offset division since 2012, when the entity was acquired by the current owner, UK-based Langley Holdings.

At the same time, Simon Wolf, Managing Director of Druck Chemie Germany, becomes Managing Director of the Druck Chemie Group, and Sebastian Seum, Head of Finance at Druck Chemie, becomes Head of Finance at Langley's Print Technologies division.
