Fujifilm inaugurates its collaboration with ColorBase, launching the first high-end media profiles for its Acuity Prime Hybrid printer.
Netherlands-based media profiling company ColorBase (formerly Color Concepts) offers a database that provides, for each selected media, four profiles for the Japanese manufacturer's large-format printer: a high-quality mode profile with ColorGate, a production mode profile with ColorGate, a high-quality mode with Caldera and a production mode profile with Caldera.
This guarantees printers that their Acuity printers will produce perfectly matching colors with minimum effort, says Fujifilm.
In addition, the ColorBase software suite enables information sharing between industry partners, and provides color tools and video content to printers, helping them to improve their printing performance.
Marco Roos, CEO and founder of ColorBase, sums it up: "Sharing printer profiles that streamline PSP color management and reduce waste is one of our core missions, and tracking material performance on this new print platform helps us lay the digital foundations for a smarter print industry."
And in future, customers will be able to download additional profiles from a number of certified media linked to specific Acuity machines.
