A strategic transition to digital printing
At the start of 2022, Imprimerie RGI, with its extensive experience in offset printing, made the strategic choice to explore digital technologies. With the printing market evolving rapidly, and customers becoming increasingly demanding in terms of quality and speed, RGI decided to acquire Fujifilm's Jet Press 750S High Speed. This model represents the company's entry into digital printing, marking a new stage in its technological development.
The Jet Press 750S: a quantum leap in productivity and quality
The Jet Press 750S is renowned for its ability to produce prints comparable to offset, while offering greater flexibility. For Imprimerie RGI, this choice has enabled us to meet a growing demand for high-quality prints, with shorter production times. The press stands out for its efficiency, reliability and low waste rate, all essential aspects in maintaining optimum productivity. The introduction of this machine also had a positive impact on the team, who quickly adopted this new technology thanks to its ease of use.
Revoria Press PC1120: diversifying offerings with metallic prints
In June 2023, Imprimerie RGI strengthened its capabilities by investing in the Revoria PC1120 press. This machine, also from Fujifilm, specializes in prints with metallic effects such as gold and silver, as well as white printing. This addition enables RGI to diversify its offer by responding to specific market demands for high value-added printing. This ability to offer metallic effects meets a growing demand for creative and innovative prints, particularly in the luxury and fashion sectors.
A long-term partnership with Fujifilm
Since 2011, Imprimerie RGI has been working closely with Fujifilm, initially using offset plates and workflow optimization solutions. This relationship has intensified with recent investments in Fujifilm's digital technologies, testifying to mutual trust. "Our partnership with Fujifilm represents a milestone in our commitment to innovation," says Serge Coissin, Deputy Director of RGI. The benefits of this collaboration are tangible, with a noticeable improvement in production quality and an enhanced ability to respond rapidly to customer needs.
