Epson to unveil SurePress L-5034 at LabelExpo 2025

Epson will be exhibiting at LabelExpo 2025 with several new products, including the new SurePress L-5034 inkjet press.

As the international label and packaging event approaches, Epson announces its program. At LabelExpo 2025, to be held from September 16 to 19 in Barcelona, the Japanese manufacturer will be showcasing its latest label presses and printers for a variety of uses, from food to pharmaceuticals.

The SurePress L-5034, a new aqueous ink press

The main newcomer will be the SurePress L-5034, an aqueous inkjet digital press designed to boost productivity on a wide range of substrates, including textured papers and metallics.

The SurePress L-5034, a CMYK plus orange and green press, features a PrecisionCore head with native 1,200 DPI resolution, real-time nozzle verification and compensation, and automated head cleaning.

With a web width of 340 mm, the press can handle reels weighing up to 120 kg, positioning it in the industrial label production segment.

ColorWorks D6000 with UltraChrome DY dye inks

Alongside this inkjet press, Epson will be presenting its new range of industrial labelers, the new ColorWorks D6000. This series uses UltraChrome DY dye-based inks for improved permanence on glossy substrates, a positioning aimed in particular at craft producers and personalized packaging.

Epson will also be exhibiting its existing ranges. The ColorWorks C8000e, designed for high-volume production, cuts inventory and pre-print costs. Its 300 mm/s print speed and 1,200 x 600 dpi resolution are aimed at fine reproduction of barcodes and small fonts.

AX6 collaborative robot demonstrated with ColorWorks C6000Pe

The manufacturer will also be highlighting its developments in automation. A demonstration will combine the AX6 collaborative robot with a ColorWorks C6000Pe for test tube labeling, a configuration designed for sensitive environments such as cleanrooms.

Finally, Epson will be presenting its new PrecisionCore D3000-U1R UV-compatible printhead for machine builders.

"Whatever your labeling needs, whether short-run, on-demand, high-volume or niche, Epson has the answer." says Marc Tinkler of Epson Europe's commercial and industrial printing division.

All these announcements will be presented on stand E35, hall 3. Commercial availability of the SurePress L-5034 is scheduled for September 2025.
