Fedrigoni pushes the limits of paper with the new Tintoretto Gesso Waterproof
Tintoretto Gesso paper from Italy's Fedrigoni has been reinvented with a waterproof version. Thanks to an exclusive waterproof technology, this paper retains its texture while offering exceptional resistance to humidity.
A special treatment applied to one side only protects the label without altering the natural appearance of the substrate: the finish remains matte, bright and characteristically white. Even after 24 hours in an ice bucket, the material won't curl, bubble or warp.
Tintoretto Gesso Waterproof is designed primarily for white and sparkling wine labels.

DS Smith and Carlsberg Britvic design new packaging that reduces over 50 tonnes of CO2
British manufacturer DS Smith and brewer Carlsberg Britvic announce the creation of a new packaging solution for beverage crates, designed to combine logistical performance with a reduced carbon footprint.
Made from reinforced materials and featuring an 8-sided shape (OTOR8), this new packaging enables 25% more cases to be loaded per pallet, reducing the number of trucks needed for transport between the Leeds and Lutterworth sites in the UK. This logistical optimization translates into annual savings of over 50 tonnes of CO2.
Dridé reduces its carbon footprint by 20
Imprimerie Dridé, located in Neuilly-sur-Marne and managed by Gilles Aubin, has taken a major step forward in its environmental transition by announcing a 20% reduction in its carbon footprint over the year.
This performance is the result of an overall strategy combining optimization of materials, overhaul of production processes and rethinking of logistics.
The print shop first focused on reducing paper waste, by fine-tuning settings and organizing print runs. Then, it focused on pooling resources and skills, promoting more efficient, collaborative production.
Finally, a system of grouped deliveries has been introduced to avoid empty runs and maximize truck filling, thus limiting transport-related emissions.
