Verpack is opening up its capital to the French investment fund Aldebaran Capital Partners. However, the Viers family retains a majority of voting rights, and Stéphane Viers, the founder?s son, remains chairman of the manufacturer, which specializes in luxury cardboard cases and boxes. The company?s top executives are also reinvesting alongside the family.
A new round of funding six years after the first
This transaction marks the second LBO for Verpack, which employs 530 people across six manufacturing sites, five of which are in France. In 2020, Crédit Mutuel Equity took a stake in the company to support the internal growth and acquisitions of the Paris-based luxury packaging manufacturer.
Since then, revenue has risen from 42.9 million euros in 2019 to an estimated 60 million euros in 2026?an increase of nearly 40% over six years. In 2021, Verpack announced its goal of doubling its revenue within five to seven years.
That same year, Verpack acquired PLV 37 from the Posson Group . The manufacturer has also expanded its operations in Sousse, Tunisia, where Verpack has been in operation since 2009. In early 2025, the workshop dedicated to the assembly and manual finishing of cases and boxes expanded from 2,800 to 5,500 m 2 . The materials processed in France are shipped to Sousse for assembly before the finished products are returned to France.
A new phase of external growth is on the agenda
With Aldebaran Capital Partners, Verpack plans to continue its industrial investments and external growth through 2030.
"We were particularly impressed by Aldebaran's commitment to maximizing the potential of its industrial resources, the strength of its ambitions, and the trust it places in its people," says Stéphane Viers.
BNP Paribas is participating in the financing of the transaction alongside LCL and Banque Populaire Franche-Comté. The amount of the financing has not been disclosed.
