Send To Print (34) impressed by the JETvarnish 3D One

"With this machine, we add value to documents, we stand out from other printers and we can capture new jobs. I'm really pleased!"

Send To Print is a digital printing company founded in 1988 and specialises in small and large format printing. Located in Montpellier in the Hérault region of France, the printing company has a turnover of 700,000 euros thanks to its five employees and its manager, Thierry Chaniolleau, with a clientele made up of one third resellers, one third companies and one third individuals.

In order to distinguish itself by offering finished printed matter in small quantities, the print shop installed a new digital finishing machine, the JETvarnish One from MGI and Konica Minolta.

"I had been interested in JETvarnish for several years, thierry Chaniolleau, CEO of Send To Print, tells us . JETvarnish One has finally convinced me. This model is better suited to our investment capacity and the size of our workshop (it's only the size of a digital press)."

The JETvarnish has been in production for 15 days and is already ennobling business cards, invitations and top-of-the-range leaflets. "The customers are really delighted with the result! What's more, we can finish the varnish in only 48 hours, compared to seven days for larger companies."

And the printer's already found his recipe: "We carry out soft touch lamination and then selective 2D or 3D varnishing with JETvarnish. The peachskin lamination provides a closed support for the varnish to adhere and its rendering increases the final contrast (matte/glossy varnish support)"

Since the installation of this new machine, Thierry Chaniolleau does not hesitate to carry out finishing tests. The manager particularly appreciates the achievements on simple coloured backgrounds: "Take a blank black sheet of paper, for example, laminated with soft touch, and just add the text in varnish: the result is extraordinary!"

JETvarnish will also enable the printing company to develop a range of top-of-the-range packaging in very small series, such as boxes of sugared almonds for private individuals or prototype cases for companies.

"With this machine, we add value to documents, we stand out from other printers and we can capture new jobs. I'm really pleased!"
