The Lecta paper group raises its prices

These measures shall be effective immediately.

A new papermaker raises its prices. Lecta makes two announcements in quick succession: it raises its prices for thermal papers and for its entire range of coated woodfree two-sided and uncoated papers, both in sheets and reels.

The parent company, consisting of the Italian Cartiere del Garda, the French Condat and the Spanish Torraspapel, states that these price increases are necessary to compensate for "the steady and substantial increase" raw materials, production and logistics.

The thermal paper price increase, which comes into effect for all new orders, is 10 to 12%.

For double-sided woodfree coated papers and double-sided uncoated woodfree papers, prices rise by 8% to 10%. This increase will be effective "on any existing or future orders with confirmed delivery on or after March 1, 2021." and applies to all European and international markets.

Lecta thus joins two of its colleagues, The Navigator Company and Sappi, who are also raising their prices on different types of paper at the beginning of the year (read Further increases in paper prices ).
