Specializing in the production and marketing of corrugated paper and packaging, Allard Emballages, which employs 400 people, reported sales of ?86 million in 2020, representing a 3.9% increase over 2019.
Based in Brive-la-Gaillarde in Corrèze, the packaging manufacturer operates three cardboard plants - in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Saint-Vulbas in Ain and Compiègne in Oise - and a 100% recycled paper plant - in Aubigné Racan in Sarthe - and works mainly for the industrial and agri-food sectors.
The growth in sales was driven by increased demand for food packaging, the group said.
Fiscal year 2020 is the last fiscal year of the company within the Valois Group. Acquired at the beginning of 2021, Allard Emballages is now part of the Spanish group Hinojosa, which also presents a higher turnover for 2020: 430 million euros, 3% more than in 2019.
"E-commerce and food are the sectors that have increased their demand for packaging, due to changes in consumer habits, contributing, as a result, to this growth."
During this last fiscal year, the group continued its expansion strategy with the acquisition of the Spanish company Galería Gráfica, which specializes in the manufacture of high value-added premium boxes and cases and has sales of 6 million euros.
Hinojosa has over 2,300 employees and 20 production plants in France, Portugal and Spain.
